Counselling cell

In today’s society, many students are unable to benefit from educational experiences

due to environmental or personal difficulties.

The child’s mental health is a primary factor in learning. When children feel secure, they are able to cope with life’s problems and their emotions.Mentally healthy children and adolescents enjoy a positive quality of life; functions well at home, in school and in their communities. Collaborative and coordinated effort is needed among schools, families and communities to ensure that all children and adolescents achieve positive academic and behavioural outcomes.

We advocate the inclusion of effective and comprehensive mental health services

in school emphasizing on prevention and early intervention.

A specialized multidisciplinary team approach is essential for addressing mental health problems. The services offered are:

  • Child and Adolescent Guidance.
  • Life Skill Workshop (Behavioural & emotional support)
  • Individual counselling.
  • Awareness and training programme for parents, peers and mentor groups.
